Freshmen tourney champs

Fort Scott High School's freshmen boys basketball team won the championship at the Iola Freshmen Tournament last weekend. The Tigers, seen here with assistant coach Jordan Woods, far left, and head coach Pechone Stepps, second from right, defeated Iola, 45-41, and Chanute, 49-44, on February 25. Zach Denton led the Tigers with 11 points in the victory versus Iola. Jash Pytlowany had 20 points in the victory over Chanute while Denton added 11. (Submitted photo)
