Special service planned in Garland

GARLAND -- Evangelist Cindy Powell will bring morning services to Cherry Grove on Sunday, Jan. 30.

The service starts at 10:50 a.m. at the church, located eight miles south of Fort Scott on U.S. Highway 69.

Powell brings her gospel message through various means. In addition to preaching the gospel, she is a vocalist and comedienne. Her presentations are uplifting and inspirational. There will be a carry-in dinner following the program. Everyone is invited to attend, bring a dish and stay for one of those big church dinners.
