Marmaton Watershed District sets meeting

The Marmaton Watershed District No. 102 will have its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Uniontown Community Center.

The meeting will consist of reading of the previous meeting's minutes, a treasurer's report and a presentation by Frank Young about his recent trip to Australia. In addition, two board members will be elected.

During the meeting, there will be a discussion of the 19 dams the watershed district has constructed and two that are currently being built. The district's five-year plan will also be presented.

All landowners in the district are welcome to attend the meeting. Refreshments will be served.
