Crawford County S.O. investigating burglary
The Crawford County Sheriff's Office is investigating a late-night aggravated burglary at 912 N. West St. in Arma, a news release said.
The resident, a 73-year-old woman, called about 1:53 a.m. Thursday from a neighbor's house and reported that she was awakened by an unknown person(s) breaking into her house by kicking in the back door and rummaging through items in her house, including her purse, looking for money.
The woman told authorities the person she saw and talked to was a short, thin white male.
The unknown subject rode a bicycle to the residence, but removed a spare set of keys and small amount of money from the victim's purse. The suspect then took the woman's car, which was parked in her garage, the release said.
The car, which has not been located, is described as a white 2004 Buick LeSabre with Kansas license plate PLO-691.
