JOHNNY RAY "JOHN" JONES

Johnny Ray "John" Jones, 47, of Uniontown, Kan., died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo.

He was born Oct. 22, 1963 in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Lee Charles and Opal Ilene (Ballou) Jones.

Survivors include a brother, Charles Jones of Uniontown, Kan.; a sister, Carol Adamson of Fort Scott, Kan.; two nephews, Joshua Adamson, and Jesse Jones; one niece, Ashley Adamson and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, Bobby Wayne Jones.

Tom Bradbury will conduct graveside services, at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 at the Dayton Cemetery near Devon, Kan.

Family and friends will meet at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home at 1 p.m. and will leave for the cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bourbon County Rural Fire District No. 3 or the Uniontown Rural Fire Dept. and left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall St., P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, KS 66701.
