Aligning the lights

Fort Scott Public Works employee Buzz Hawpe uses a bucket truck to replace bulbs in the Christmas lights which line the tops of the buildings in downtown Fort Scott. The city is getting the lights ready in preparation for the holiday season, which will feature the Shop Downtown Open House on Nov. 11, the Christmas parade on Nov. 30, and the Christmas in the Fort celebration held Dec. 3-5.
