FSHS grad traded back to T-Bones
KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- The Kansas City T-Bones and Winnipeg Goldeyes of the American Association have agreed to a trade that will send the playing rights for pitcher Drew Graham back to Kansas City.
Graham, 24, was originally traded to Winnipeg on August 8 for future considerations. The rookie right-hander made 25 relief appearances with Kansas City last season, going 2-2 with a 4.85 ERA over 26 innings of work. He struck out 27 batters in those contests while walking 14. Graham struggled in nine outings with the Goldeyes, posting an 11.46 ERA over an 11-inning span.
A native of Fort Scott, Graham was originally signed by the Detroit Tigers as a nondrafted free agent in July 2009. Despite posting a 2.18 ERA over 20 and two-thirds innings in 13 relief appearances between the Tigers' rookie-level squad and Single-A Lakeland in 2009, Graham was released following the campaign. He then joined the T-Bones out of open tryouts on May 5.
