Man set for trial in District Court Monday

A local man is set to go to trial in Bourbon County District Court Monday after being arrested more than two years ago for his alleged involvement in several sex offenses and child abuse, court records show.

Douglas Page was arrested in September 2008 and charged with one count of child abuse, one count of aggravated criminal sodomy, one count of aiding and abetting aggravated criminal sodomy, and one count of indecent solicitation of a child, records state.

The trial is set to begin at 9 a.m. on the third floor of the Bourbon County Courthouse, 210 S. National Ave.

The abuse is believed to have occurred on or about Sept. 6, 2008, the aggravated criminal sodomy is believed to have occurred between June 20 and Sept. 12, 2008, the aiding and abetting is believed to have occurred on or about Sept. 13, 2008. The solicitation charge, involving a 15-year-old child is believed to have occurred between Sept. 13 and Sept. 16, 2008, records state.
