DORA ELLEN HENNING
Dora Ellen Henning, age 76, a former resident of Fort Scott and more recently of DeSoto, Kan., died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, as the result of an automobile accident.
She was born Jan. 30, 1934, at Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Harry E. Wilson and Pearl Gunsolley Wilson.
Dora enjoyed dancing and spending time with her granddaughters.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Henning and wife, Roberta, Olathe, Kan.; and Clay Henning and wife, Jennifer, DeSoto, Kan.; two granddaughters, Colleen and Kelly Henning, of DeSoto.
Also surviving are three sisters Wylma Campbell and Norma Fitzsimmons, both of Fort Scott, Kan.; and Barbara Bolinger, Olathe, Kan.
She was preceded in death by three sisters Neta Durbin, Thelma Darlington, and Una Bowles and an infant brother.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at the Centerville Cemetery near Devon, Kan.
The family will receive friends at the Cheney Witt Chapel on Monday from 1 p.m. until leaving for the cemetery at 1:45 p.m.
Services are under the direction of the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kan.
