Bronson O.E.S. meeting
The Bronson Chapter No. 65, Order of the Eastern Star, met Wednesday evening at the Bronson Hall for a regular meeting with 11 officers present and with Ednamarie Jackson as Worthy Matron and Glenn Smith as Worthy Patron.
A welcome was said to all and Ednamarie's reading was "A woman was asked by a coworker, 'What is it like to be a Christian?' The coworker replied, 'It is like being a pumpkin. God picks you from the patch, brings you in and washes all the dirt off of you. Then he cuts off the top, scoops out all of the yucky stuff and removes the seeds of doubt, hate and greed. Then he carves you a new, smiling face and puts his light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.'" Charter was draped for Past Worthy Grand Patron Don.
Worthy Patron Glenn Smith gave the Obligation. Glenn reported on Arlene, that her test shows she is doing "A-OK."
Erma reported on Dee, Geri reported on Grace, Bonita reported on Karen and Ednamarie reported on Linda.
Worthy Patron's closing thought was, "If you must boast like the hen, she cackles after she lays her egg."
The meeting closed in form.
Refreshments of angel food cake, lemon cookies, munchies and coffee were served by Bonita and Ednamarie.
District School of Instructions will be at Yates Center, Friday, Oct. 29.
