Event to honor First Friends

The Friends of Fort Scott National Historic Site, a non-profit group dedicated to supporting the Fort Scott National Historic Site, is hosting its second annual event at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19 at the Liberty Theatre.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with a social hour, dinner and program to follow.

Tickets are available at Country Cupboard and the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce.

If you're not a member of the Friends of Fort Scott National Historic Site, you can sign up that evening.

For those who missed out on the 2009 Gary Hawk Christmas ornament, they will be available for sale.

Period clothing is always welcome.
