SARA JOANNE SEAVER

Sara Joanne Seaver, age 79, resident of 311 N. Franklin, Fort Scott, Kan., died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at her home.

She was born Dec. 21, 1930, in Fort Scott the daughter of Ernest Albert Erickson and Armada Josephine Harris Erickson.

She married Carlton W. Seaver on April 26, 1948 in Fort Scott.

She was a member of the Call on Me Club.

Her hobbies include needlework and working with flowers, especially African Violets.

Survivors include her husband Carlton, of the home; two sons, Kenneth William Seaver and wife Sheila, Kansas City, Kan.; Carl Bentley Seaver and wife June, Fort Scott; two daughters, Linda Joyce Hart and husband John, Rogersville, Mo.; and Donna Sue Snyder and husband Dale, Fulton, Kan.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pastor John Comstock will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 7, in the Cheney Witt Chapel.

Burial will follow in U. S. National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
