Helping kids get ready for school

Employees and customers of UMB Bank recently donated many school supplies for distribution to local children and families that qualify for a program coordinated by the Community Christian Church and the Southeast Kansas Community Action Program (SEK-CAP). More than 150 items were collected this week and will be handed out to schoolchildren before the first day of school on Aug. 18. (Submitted photo)
