LISA BERNICE METCALF COWHER
Lisa Bernice Metcalf Cowher, age 65, a resident of Gravois Mills, Mo., died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2010, at Barns Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
She was born Nov. 4, 1944 in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Willard A. Metcalf and Margaret H. (Jones) Metcalf.
Lisa married Earl Cowher on Sept. 4, 1970.
Lisa enjoyed reading, cooking, family, playing cards and cared for their dog, Button.
Survivors include her husband, Earl, of the home; four daughters: Becky Fritz and husband Ken, Shawnee, Kan.; Kris Kertz and husband Gary, Lee Summit, Mo.; Kim Sloan, Lee Summit, Mo.; and Debby Lickteig and husband Paul, Raytown, Mo.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, two brothers: Larry Metcalf and wife Betty, Shell Knob, Mo.; and Danny Metcalf and wife Joyce, Fort Scott; two sisters: Loretta Harris and husband Bob, Edwardsville, Kan.; and Linda Metcalf, Mapleton, Kan.; a sister-in-law, Peggy Metcalf, Iola; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bob Metcalf and Albert Metcalf.
Lisa was an organ donor and her body was cremated. Family services are pending.
