Bourbon County Sheriff's Office hosts bench-press competition

UNIONTOWN, Kan. -- The Bourbon County Sheriffs Office Corrections Division hosted its third annual bench-press competition at Uniontown High School last Saturday. A list of first-place finishers in each category follows:
* Pre-teen: Garret Elder, 12, lifted 80 pounds.
* Teen 13-15: Jade Sneed, Pittsburg, Kan., 115 pounds.
* Teen 16-18: Dylan Duggins, Osecola, Mo., 225 pounds.
* Teen 16-18, 225 and over: A.J. Roberts, Nevada, 205 pounds.
* Teen Female: Darla Snyder, Pleasanton, Kan., 195 pounds.
* Novice I, Super Heavyweight: Blynn Hill, Fort Scott, 300 pounds.
* Novice I, 275 pounds: Logan Porbasco, Fort Scott, 500 pounds.
* Novice I, 242 pounds: Dylan Marlow, Uniontown, 530 pounds.
* Submaster 242 pounds: Darrett Kennedy, Fort Scott, 315 pounds.
* Submaster 275 pounds: Brad Rich, Joplin, Mo., 450 pounds.
* Submaster 220 pounds: Roc Lee, Pittsburg, Kan., 375 pounds; Delbert Elder, Uniontown, 350 pounds.
* Master 2, 220 pounds: Rusty Reynolds, Pleasanton, Kan., 315 pounds.
* Master 2, 242 pounds: Tom Davis, Fort Scott, 445 pounds.
* Master 2, 275 pounds: Robert McKenzie, Columbus, Kan., 484 pounds.
* Master 1, Super Heavyweight: Jimmy Nichols, Bronson, Kan., 550 pounds.
