FSCC, Buck Run present children's theatre
The Fort Scott Community College Theatre Department, in conjunction with Buck Run Community Center, will present "The Mystery of the Pirate's Cave," a children's theatre production.
Performances will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 28 and Tuesday, June 29, in the Danny and Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center at FSCC, 2108 S. Horton. Local students in first through eighth grades have been rehearsing since June 1 and are excited to perform for the community. Both performances are free of charge and open to the public. The FSCC Theatre Department will be taking donations on the night of the performances.
The story of "The Mystery of the Pirate's Cave" incorporates a host of characters including ghosts, Vikings, mermaids, flappers, bootleggers, and pirates. The exciting tale is full of action, adventure, betrayal and romance. Audiences of all ages will love the story of Captain Jedediah York and his encounter with the Lady Bianca and the quest for a ghostly treasure.
