The good news keeps coming for the students who competed at the National History Day competition earlier this month.

It was reported to The Tribune, by Lowell Milken Center Director Norm Conard, after the original story, "Nine advance to National History Day finals" in the June 16 edition that, in fact 10 students advanced to the finals.

Jared Bahr from Fort Scott Christian Heights, was announced as the 10th student from Fort Scott to advance to the finals of the National History Day competition in College Park, Md., June 14-17. Not only was Bahr's senior division website project "Higgins: The Forgotten Man" named to the finals, it was the highest placing project of all Fort Scott students at fifth in the nation and was awarded the best Kansas high school project award.

Bahr's website was based on the project by the same name which is now on display at the Lowell Milken Center, 4 S. Main.
