Meeting to be held for local anglers
The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks will be hosting a meeting to help local anglers know where the best local places to fish are located.
The KDWP Fishing Information Night will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, at Fort Scott Community College, 2108 South Horton.
The meeting will feature fishing guide Chatt Martin who will start the program by giving some tips and techniques for catching crappie. Also presenting will be Don George, Rob Friggeri, and Sean Lynott, all local fisheries biologists with KDWP, who will give overviews of area fisheries and best bets for spring and summer angling.
According to George, the presentations will be short in order to provide a sufficient amount of time for the public to spend with individual biologists. This time will be used for informal question and answer sessions.
