JONELLE STUMFOLL
JoNelle Stumfoll, age 62, a resident of Fort Scott, died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at the Mercy Health Center Emergency Room.
She was born May 9, 1947, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Mindon Lyle and Bobbie B. Barrett Anderson.
She was a graduate of Fort Scott High School.
She married Frank Stumfoll, Jr. on Aug. 14, 1965, in Fort Scott. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1998.
JoNelle had just retired from SEKAN Printing after working 18 years as a shipping clerk.
Her many interests included bowling, attending flea markets, reading and enjoying her dogs. In addition to being a fan of NASCAR and the Kansas City Chiefs, she relished her collection of Cherished Teddies bears.
She attended the First United Methodist church.
Survivors include two sons, Troy Stumfoll and wife Karri and Doug Stumfoll, Fort Scott; a nephew, Greg Williams; and one niece, Norma Lawrence, Fort Scott. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Derek, Troy, Reba, Libby, and Ciara Stumfoll; and two great-grandchildren, Brian Stumfoll and Emily Greenway.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Leigh Williams as well as her parents.
Elder Robert Clark will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 5 till 7 p.m. in the Cheney Witt Chapel.
