TaeKwonDo class collects trophies

Kris Chandra (front row, far right) took four of his TaeKwonDo students to the 36th Nationals Tournament at Kansas City Kansas Community College Oct. 17. Those four returned with seven trophies. The trophy winners, all in the front row are (from left) Kinley Rice, first in forms and second in sparring; Shawn Barrager, first in forms; Maria Mendoza, third in forms and first in sparring; and Daniel Mendoza, first in sparring and third in forms. The other members of Chandra's class, which meets twice a week at Buck Run Community Center are (back, from left) Cameron Johanning, Martin Torres, Jessica Milburn, Bernice Mendoza and Martin Mendoza.
