Abundant Grace Church to host open house and concert Dec. 10

The Abundant Grace Church in conjunction with the Fort Scott High School Music Department will be hosting a Christmas open house and concert at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10.

The event will be held at the Abundant Grace Church located at 123 S. National Ave.

The Christmas Open House is being held so that people in the community can have an opportunity meet the people of Abundant Grace Church. The congregation has been meeting in the St. Andrews building since Easter and would like Fort Scott see the beautiful building, enjoy some tasty holiday treats and listen to seasonal music provided by the Fort Scott High School brass, string and vocal ensembles.

This event is free to the public and attendees are invited to bring dry goods and canned goods to be donated to the Beacon.

The community is welcome to come and go through out the evening, however the music schedule is as follows:

* 7:00 p.m. brass ensemble directed by James Fox

* 7:30 p.m. string ensemble directed by Jane Williams

* 8:00 p.m. vocal ensemble directed by Pat Harry.

Two Christmas hymns will be sung at 8:30 with the accompaniment of the St. Andrews pipe organ which will conclude the evening.
