Annual Fall Follies Thursday

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

The Family and Community Education (FCE) Council and the Bourbon County Extension office will sponsor the annual Fall Follies on Thursday from 5:15 to 7 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, Community Christian Church 1919 S. Horton, Fort Scott. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. There is no cost to attend and no pre-registration is needed.

The evening starts with hearty refreshments and fellowship at 5:15 p.m. The early evening time is planned so those who work during the day may attend, and still have part of their evening at home with family.

At 5:30 p.m. Kathy McEwan, Allen County Extension agent, will present Multi-Task Your Meals. This program focuses on cooking once and eating twice -- or more. Attendees will learn how to plan to have leftovers from a meal to create other meals. Ideas and recipes will be shared.

At 6:15 p.m., Joy Purkeypile, Linn County Extension agent, will present a program on creative gift wrapping. She will share unique ideas for wrapping gifts for all occasions. Attendees will be able to make bows during the presentation.
