Cattleman Management Series workshop Thursday, Nov. 19

A Management Strategies the Cattleman workshop has been set for Thursday, Nov. 19 at the Fort Scott Livestock Market in Fort Scott, Kan.

The program begins at 6 p.m. with topics to include employee management and expectations, cattle handling and injection sites and salebarn data on weaning, pre-vaccinations and cutting bulls.

K-State Research and Extension speakers for the evening include: Area Livestock Specialist, Karl Harborth; Beef Veterinarian, Larry Hollis and Feedlot Specialist, Chris Reinhardt.

Supper will be sponsored by Citizens Bank of Fort Scott and Iola will be at 5:30 p.m.

The practical information and management tips provided during this program will help you optimize your cattle operation and achieve the most with the forages available to you.

A bonus feature to this meeting will be customized ration balancing during the afternoon utilizing the Beef Ration and Nutrition Decision Software (BRANDS). If you would like to set down with Karl to base rations on your production scenario, please call to set up a time.
