YAT, Ticketmaster team up to reach broader audience
With about 3000 tickets sold for the Ropin' & Rockin' for Pennies for the Park, the Youth Activities Team has signed a deal with Ticketmaster to reach a broader audience.
YAT signed a deal with Ticketmaster last week to reach more potential concert goers. Ticketmaster will send an e-mail to all it's customers of the upcoming concert which will get sent to individuals across the country. Ticketmaster will be used as an additional outlet for purchasing tickets to the event. Tickets will remain available at the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the YAT's Web site at www.yatfortscott.com.
The Penny Bank contest is underway with Eugene Ware Elementary School, Winfield Scott Elementary School, Fort Scott Middle School and Fort Scott High School participating. Students are bringing money to fill up their class or grade's penny bank or jug for the chance to be randomly picked out for a meet and greet pass to meet country singing star Jason Aldean and Atlanta Braves first baseman and Fort Scott native, Adam LaRoche. The meet and greet will be held at the Ellis Fine Arts Center on the Fort Scott Community College campus prior to the Ropin' & Rockin' for Pennies for the Park concert on Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds. Starting time has not been determined at this time.
YAT has also announced that RV Parking will be available for the event. The cost will be $50 per unit and the unit must be parked by noon on Friday, Nov. 6. A paid reservation is required. For additional information regarding the contests, contact Tom Robertson at (620) 224-7707 or Tami Lawrence at (620) 215-4589. To make an RV reservation call (620) 224-7761.
