Eagles 5th at Eureka

EUREKA -- Uniontown's golf team finished fifth in an eight-team field here Wednesday. The Eagles finished with a team score of 267 over 9 holes.

Bethany Ericson had the Eagles' best score of 64, which was 25th. Emily Simpson followed with a 65, Brooke Murrow with a 70, Sabrena McAnulty 79 and Ravon Hixon 81.

Fredonia had the team and individual champs. The Yellowjackets shot 192 as a team to beat out Andover by one stroke. Melissa Ashenfelter won the individual crown with a 43 followed by teammate Tres Short with a 44.

The Eagles competed at Marmaton Valley Thursday. Their next outing is scheduled for Wednesday at Nevada.
