Fourth Annual Motor Sunday slated for this weekend
The First Church of the Nazarene is hosting the 4th Annual Motor Sunday at 10:30 a.m., Sunday at the corner of Third and Margrave streets.
This event is free to the public. It includes a car and motorcycle show with prizes, entertainment, activities for the kids, and an outdoor service. The event will also have a free hot dog cook out. First Church of the Nazarene Pastor Scott Moore said the event is a laid back atmosphere for families in the community to get together.
"We just tend to make a nice day of it," Moore said. "It's just our way of bringing some fun to the community ... maybe even enjoy worship in a different venue."
Moore said the event usually attracts and attendance of approximately 300 members of the community. He said the event is open to the public, not just members of the church. The purpose of the event is to serve the community, he added.
For those wishing to participate in the car and motorcycle show, judging will begin at 10:30 a.m. It is recommended that participants in the car and motorcycle show arrive approximately 9 a.m.
