Charges to be brought Monday
Local resident William R. Dell'Antonia is scheduled to make his first appearance in the Bourbon County Court Monday for felony theft charges.
Dell'Antonia is scheduled to make his first appearance in court at 9 a.m., Monday. He was being investigated by Lee Davidson, Kansas Assistant Attorney General for stealing an undisclosed amount of money from Fort Scott resident Mildred Lager. According to Bourbon County Court records, the thefts occurred between April 2003 and Aug. 2006. The records show the thefts occurring on or around April 11, 2003, Oct. 10, 2004, Oct. 21, 2004, Nov. 15, 2004, June 22, 2005, June 29, 2005, and Nov. 8, 2005. He currently faces seven counts of Level 9 felony theft and one count level 5, nonperson felony theft. A level 9 felony theft is classified as a theft valued between $1,000 and $25,000.
Dell'Antonia turned himself in to the Bourbon County Sheriff's Office Aug. 11 then immediately posted a $10,000 bond. The only conditions to his bond is that he have no contact with Lager or his ex-wife Cleta Dell'Antonia.
The Tribune was unsuccessful in contacting the Kansas Attorney General's office for more information regarding the case.
