Mason hearing set for Aug. 12
Saturday, June 20, 2009
In a very short appearance Judge Neal Quitno set the date for a preliminary hearing for Garrett Matthew Mason for Wednesday, Aug. 12. Mason is charged in the murders of two Nevada teens, Anne Reed and Kylie Leyva, who were stabbed to death at Reed's Nevada home on May 24.
In his first court appearance May 25 Mason did not have an attorney and told Quitno he would find legal representation, and he is now represented by public defender Joseph Zuzul.
Mason is still in the Vernon County Jail on $2 million bond.
