State District Court suffers from cuts

Thursday, June 11, 2009

MOUND CITY -- As a result of budget cuts by the Kansas Legislature, the Sixth Judicial District, serving Linn, Bourbon and Miami counties, has lost all state-funded temporary and part-time employees. The work they performed now has to be done by court clerks and deputy clerks.

In order that those clerks can get the extra work finished, the district office will close at 3:30 p.m. each day beginning Monday.
