Mother Nature bears down

A wall cloud approaches Fort Scott Tuesday afternoon in this shot taken just north of the city on U.S. Highway 69. The cloud approaches from the west in this photo. Severe storms entered Bourbon County at approximately 1:20 p.m. Tuesday and reached Fort Scott around 2 p.m. All or parts of the country were in severe thunderstorm or tornado warnings during an approximately three-hour period.
