Flash flooding hits area schools

Nevada Middle School was just one of the many locations all over the city of Nevada that experienced major flash flooding as a result of early morning thunderstorms Friday. The Nevada Middle School track was left nearly submerged in water by the time the rains finally subsided and numerous students at Truman Elementary were displaced due to water getting into the building. --Julie Righter/Herald-Tribune
