MARGARET MAXINE HOPPE
Margaret Maxine Hoppe, 84, died April 16, 2009, at her home in Fort Pierce, Fla., following a lingering illness.
Margaret was born on Nov. 29, 1924, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of Hugh and Leona Stanbro Parker. She married Harvery Leland Eastwood at Nevada, Mo., on Oct. 11, 1941. Harvey preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1992, in Kansas City, Kan.
Margaret is survived by her second husband, Carl Hoppe, of Fort Pierce, Fla.; a son Edward Leland Eastwood and wife Bernice, of Sebastian, Fla.; and a son Garry Rae Eastwood and wife Carolyn, of Bonner Springs, Kan.
Margaret is also survived by eight grandchildren: Leigh Ann Eastwood, Catherine Elizabeth Eastwood, David Ridgley Eastwood, Georgette Renee Lucas, Gillette Raquel Lucas Woodward, Shelly Eastwood, Garry J. Eastwood and Debra Eastwood. Also, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Eastwood Lucas on Nov. 3, 1989, in Kansas City, Kan.; and a granddaughter, Gayleen Rae Lucas on Aug. 24, 1967.
Margaret was a homemaker who loved to travel. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service was held on Monday, April 20, 2009, at 5 p.m., at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, Fla. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
