Central Heights gets best of Jayhawk-Linn girls again

RICHMOND -- Central Heights' girls defeated Jayahwk-Linn for the second time this season here Tuesday night, taking a Pioneer League contest by a 32-25 score.

Cassie Rockers led the Jayhawks (4-2 Pioneer, 14-2 overall) with eight points. Chelsea Beckman had eight rebounds and four steals.

"Both teams played great defense," Jayhawk head coach Charlie Beckman said. "We felt that we had good shots. They didn't go down and we had a few key turnovers."

Central Heights (6-0, 12-3), the Pioneer League leader, held the Jayhawks to 13 points through the first three quarters.

The Jayhawks host Osawatomie in Pioneer League play Friday night.
