Crest boys, Jayhawk girls top seeds in Pleasanton tourney

Crest's boys and Jayhawk-Linn's girls, both undefeated on the season, are the top seeds at the annual Pleasanton Mid-Season Tournament, which will be held Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday of next week.

Jayhawk-Linn's girls will face Uniontown in a first-round match-up of area teams Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Pleasanton's north gym. Host Pleasanton girls are the No. 4 seed and face Northeast-Arma at 5:30 in the north gym.

The other first-round girls' matches have Humboldt taking on Prairie View at 5:30 in the south gym and Crest facing Central Heights at 7 in the south gym.

Crest's boys will take on Humboldt in their first-round game at 8:30 p.m. in the south gym on Tuesday night. Uniontown is the No. 4 seed and will face Prairie View at 4 p.m. in the south gym.

Pleasanton takes on Central Heights at 8:30 in the north gym with Jayhawk-Linn facing Northeast at 4 p.m. in the north gym.

The game times for Thursday's round will be determined Wednesday morning to avoid a chance that both teams from any school will have to play at the same time.

Saturday's girls schedule has the seventh-place game at 1 p.m. in the north gym and the fifth-place game at 2:30 in the south gym. The third-place game will be played at 5:30 in the south gym while the championship will take place at 4 p.m. in the north gym.

The boys' schedule for Saturday starts with the seventh-place game at 1 p.m. in the south gym. The fifth-place game will take place at 2:30 in the north gym. The third-place game will be held at 4 in the south gym and the championship will tip off at 5:30 in the north gym.
