'Hound men go 2-1 at MSU-West Plains

WEST PLAINS, Mo. -- Fort Scott Community College's men's basketball team went 2-1 in a "classic" at Missouri State-West Plains over the weekend.

Thursday, the Greyhounds (6-5) defeated Shorter (Ark.) by a 77-56 score as five players reached double figures in scoring, led by Kurklin Bohannon's 14. Kolbe Joens and Darrell Blanton each had 12.

Friday, the 'Hounds beat Redlands (Okla.) by an 84-79 score. Bohannon scored 27 points while Blanton added 18. The two combined to make 21 of 30 shots from the field.

Saturday, host MSU-West Plains held off Fort Scott to win 80-76. Bohannon was 13 of 18 from the field as he scored 27 points. Bryce Kemp added 17 points.

The Greyhounds are idle until January 3. That afternoon, the FSCC men and women will host Coffeyville in a Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division doubleheader at Arnold Arena. The women will begin play at 2 p.m. followed by the men at 4.
