Mine Creek Battlefield Site Administrator Arnold Scholfield displays a fragment of artillery which was fired from a 3-inch ordnance rifle during the Civil War. Behind Scholfield is the full-scale reproduction of a 3-inch ordnance rifle displayed outside the Mine Creek Battlefield Museum. The museum will be displaying artifacts from the Civil War including various bullets from muskets and rifles, horse and mule shoes and a copper ring that is believed to be a soldier's wedding band. The exhibit will be temporarily on display at the museum located south of Pleasanton on Kansas Highway 52.--Michael Pommier/Herald-Tribune
