UNIONTOWN -- Uniontown's volleyball team swept through its Three Rivers League competition in a home triangular Tuesday night.

The Eagles defeated Pleasanton, 25-8, 25-23, and Crest, 25-17, 25-18.

No information was available on the Pleasanton-Crest match. The Pleasanton perspective on the night may be available in time for Friday's edition.

From Uniontown head coach Jackie Hall's point of view, the night was a very good one.

"It was great to get these wins at home," Hall said. "We really put a complete match together (Crest). The girls came together, had some fun and did the things we work on in practice daily consistently. It was fun to watch."

Against Pleasanton, Abbie Smith had nine kills as she was successful on 16 of 17 attacks. Jacy Ermel was 12 of 15 in attack with three kills. Jessie Camac was nine of 12 in attack with two kills.

In the Crest match, Smith had 11 kills on 19 of 20 attacks. Ermel registered seven kills as she made 15 of 17 attacks successfully. Devann Crystal was eight of eight in attack with three kills.

In junior varsity play, Uniontown beat Pleasanton, 25-15, 25-18, and Crest, 25-17, 25-14. Hope Jurgensen was the leading server in each match. She had nine points against Pleasanton and 10 versus crest.
