City commission, airport board meetings scheduled

The Fort Scott City Commission will be coming together to have a special meeting next week. This meeting stemmed from citizen's complaints regarding the Streetscape Project at the commission meeting August 19 in addition to the letter which Commissioner Jim Adams presented to the commission during last Tuesday's commission meeting.

The discussion will discuss the concerns that some are having about the contractors and sub-contractors meeting specifications and the performance of material testing.

The meeting will take place on September 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Commission Room.

Also, the Airport Advisory Board will meet for its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 12 noon in the City Commission Room at City Hall. This meeting is open to the public.
