Bronson Ruritan Club holds August board meeting

Vice President Lori Stang held the club board meeting in her home Aug. 18, final plans were made for the club regular meeting. Aug. 25 the Ruritan club met in the Bronson Community Center with thirteen members answering roll call. Pres. David Wilkins opened the meeting with Julia Ann Rhoton leading song with "America" and Geri Reeder giving the prayer. Sec. Lonella Fuhrman read July board minutes and July regular meeting minutes. Treasurer Joyce Wilkins gave the July report. Committee reports were given and work hours were turned in. Environment committee reported their work on plastic collection and also 7220 pounds of paper and magazines at the Aug. 16 paper drive, Bill and Julia Ann Rhoton transported them to Iola. The club received a thank you note and nice picture from Kiersten Elder for her scholarship. Members signed up to attend Middle America District No. 37 zone 1-2-3 to be held at Moran, Sept. 16.

The club adjourned with the Flag Salute. Sept. meeting will be potluck.
