Fort Scott man arrested after release on charges involving illegal drugs

A local man was recently arrested for a probation violation resulting from drug charges.
Quintin Duran Grant, 25, Fort Scott, was arrested at 10:42 p.m. on Monday, on a Bourbon County warrant for violating his probation. As of press time, Quintin was still being held at the Southeast Kansas Regional Correctional Center.
A warrant for Quintin's arrest was issued after Bourbon County Attorney Terri Johnson received an affidavit from Community Services Program Officer Jeff Hull. According to the Community Corrections Program case report, Grant was placed on 18 months of Intensive Supervised Probation on Feb. 4, 2008, for an arrest stemming from the sale of cocaine.
After finishing a substance abuse treatment program on Feb. 28, Grant returned to Fort Scott to begin his supervised probation, according to the affidavit.
On August 7, a search of Grant's residence produced enough evidence to arrest him in addition to Amanda DuVall, Fort Scott, on narcotics related charges. Since the condition's of Grant's probation require him to obey all federal and state laws as well as all municipal and county ordinances, his arrest involving narcotics charges, is violation of Grant's probation. In addition, Grant's probation requires him to report any contact with law enforcement to his probation officer within a specified amount of time. At the time Hull compiled his report, the specified time had lapsed with no contact from Grant.
According to court documents, Grant has been placed on Intensive Supervised Probation on two other occasions.
