Jerry and Judy Witt, of Cheney Witt Chapel, announce the employment of two additions to the Cheney Witt Funeral Home staff, Curtis McCullough and Matt Witt.

Curtis McCullough is serving his apprenticeship with the Cheney Witt Chapel in Fort Scott. He recently graduated from the Kansas City, Kansas School of Mortuary Science and passed the National Board of Embalming Exam. He is a 1997 graduate of Pittsburg High School and a 2003 graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center. While attending Kansas City Community College, he worked at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas. He and his wife, Lindsay, and daughter, Laney, make their home in Fort Scott.

Matt Witt also joins his family at Cheney Witt Chapel as business manager. He is currently obtaining his Kansas Funeral Director's License. He graduated from Fort Scott High School in 1983, and Pittsburg State University in 1987. Following graduation he joined the Shepherd Team Auto Plaza, making that his career until this time. He and his wife, Cherie, library assistant at the Fort Scott High School, are lifetime residents of Fort Scott.

We are proud to have these two compliment the current funeral directors, including Brad Blubaugh, and part time staff, Bill Lawrence, Carol Prather, and Blake Cowan, to continue serving families of Southeast Kansas and Southwest Missouri.
