BURTMAN

Marvin "Harold" Burtman, age 73, resident of rural Fort Scott, Kan., died Monday, July 14, 2008, at his home.
He was born October 22, 1934, in Pocahontas, Ark., the son of Charles Burtman and Orpha Whitrock Burtman.
He married Dorothy Brimhall on May 13, 1959, in DeKalb, Ill.
Mr. Burtman was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean War. He was a retired farmer cattleman. The couple moved from Havana, Ark., to Fort Scott in 2005. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. His hobbies were his family, fishing and taking care of his cattle.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy, of the home; two daughters, Lena Vogel, Fort Scott and Kate Clemons, Havana, Ark.; five brothers, Hanzil Burtman, Charles "Denzil" Burtman, Audrion Burtman, Vincent Burtman and Johnny Burtman; and two sisters, Lena Hinkle and Mary Linda Ogle.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Brenda Whitehead; a twin brother, Marshall Carroll Burtman; two brothers, Ray Burtman and Paul Allen Burtman and three sisters, Ella Faye Burtman, Maxine Burtman and Alta Mae Burtman.
Rev. Scott Moore will conduct memorial services at 1 p.m., Wednesday, in the First Church of Nazarene. Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Harmony Cemetery in Pocahontas, Ark.
