Singmaster reunion held June 20-22
The descendants of Ray and Louise Singmaster gathered for a reunion after four years. It was held June 20, 21 and 22.
Jim and Jeanie Comstock hosted a supper for the ones that came on Friday. Hamburgers, brauts and hotdogs were grilled for the 38 who were present. Salsads, deviled eggs, baked beans and desserts were brought by others. Some of the cousins went in and walked the Relay For Life with cancer survivors of the family. They enjoyed the evening and the others played cards and visited.
Saturday evening, 75 met at the Hob Nob for a delicious pork loin supper prepared by Jim Bullock of Kirksville, Mo. Hash Brown Casseroles, baked beans, meat and cheese trays, chips, dips and salads were also enjoyed. Several desserts were available. The nieces and nephews presented corsages to their aunts, Joan Singmaster, Dot Bullock and Marjorie Lewis. Peggy Singmaster brought the Singmaster history book she has been gathering for years for everyone to look at. Gary Shull received word that his mother, Isabelle Shull, had falled and broken her hip. She is a sister to Dot Bullock and Marjorie Lewis. She was operated on Sunday, June 22.
Several played cards and games. Steve and Jackie brought a lot of different cheeses from Wisconsin and everyone enjoyed them with crackers.
A catered dinner by Chicken Anniers was held Sunday, June 22, at the Hob Nob at 12:30 p.m. Wonderful desserts were brought by everyone. Iced tea and lemonade were served. Lots of picture taking and visiting was done while together for the days.
The nieces and nephews discussed the 2010 reunion. David Singmaster is checking on where to hold the reunion.
Several met back and Jim and Jeanie Comstock's, Sunday evening, for leftovers.
There were eight states represented from Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Washington and Wisconsin.
There were approximately 80 present over all.
