Sunbeam Christian Preschool graduation, programs
Sunbeam Christian Preschool held its graduation and programs on Monday, May 12, at 6:30 p.m. The morning class marched in, sang several songs including "A Great Big Wonderful God" and recited eight memory verses.
After introducing themselves, the children portrayed the story of Jonah. Gavin Pytlowany portrayed God, Lawson Hall had the part of Jonah. Group one sang the "ABC Song." Group two sang "Twinkle. Twinkle."
Mrs. Marilyn Barker, director, presented certificates to six Sunbeams. She presented diploma's to Kiran Bailey, Evan Cisneros, Emily Davenport, Garen DeMott, Reaghn Dowell, Caden Gulager, Lawson Hall, Alexander Krebs, Noah Larsen, Lily Leigh, Gavin Pytlowany, Sammie Ragan, Jakob Slinkard, Abby Weber, and Oliver Witt. Rev Timothy Davish prayed a blessing on the children and the children marched out.
At 7:30 p.m. the afternoon class did a similar program with Jaada Valley portraying God and Brady Graves portraying Jonah. Marilyn Barker presented certificates to the younger students and diploma's to Hayley Bean, Micala Bower, Treyton Brown, Brady Graves, Samantha Hampton, Kenly Jones, Montana LaRoche, Vanessa Lockwood, Alyson Love, Damien Patrick, and Jaada Valley.
Mrs. Barker was assisted by Connie Peterson, and Shirley Sauerwein.
On Tuesday, May 13, the Tuesday-Thursday class presented a similar program. Clay Sutterby had the part of God and Drew Perry took the part of Jonah. Mrs. Barker presented certificates to returning Sunbeams and diploma's to Dryden Cosens, Avery Dorsey, Cade Goodridge, Jenna Graham, Sam Mix, Addison Oberley, Drew Perry, Austin Sinn, and Clay Sutterby. Connie Peterson, Johnnie Ragsdale, and Shirley Sauerwein helped with the students.
Sunbeam Christian Preschool opened in 1979 and is located in the First Baptist Church in Fort Scott.
