MARTHA LOU PARKER
Martha Lou Parker, age 74, a resident of the Fort Scott Manor, died Monday, May 5, 2008, at the Mercy Health Center. She was born February 12, 1934, in Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of James Lewis Parker and Lillie Mae Chambers Parker.
Martha was survived by three sons; Carl Hardwick, Phoenix, Ariz., Donald Hardwick, Manhattan, Kan., and Randy Rector, Fort Scott; and five daughters, Carolyn Edwards, Aurora, Mo., Terry Lynn Jones, Waco, Texas, Patty Grant, Cassville, Mo., Toni Reinerson, Overbrook, Kan., and Penny Blake, Olathe, Kan. She was also survived by two sisters, Ruth Douglas, Bremerton, Wash., and Mary Jane Wells, Russell, Kans.; two half-sisters, Sadie Parker and Sara Parker, Ind.; six half-brothers, Homer Proctor, Colorado Springs, Colo., James Lewis Parker, Jr., Charles Parker, William Parker, John Parker and Claude Parker, Ind. Eighteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Virginia Parker.
Rev. Jared Witt will conduct memorial services for Martha Parker at 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in Lath Branch Cemetery.
