Letter to the Editor: Collector Frustrations
Collector frustrations
To the Editor,
I am unemployed, I have been looking for employment, but, nothing is on the horizon. Right this moment I have exactly $7.53 in my bank account, I mean that is ALL the money I have. A computer financial office keeps calling me, almost everyday, over the weekend; three times so far this morning. I tell them my situation, they either do not care, or can not understand that my $7.53 will go towards bread, milk and possibly a package of bologna. I tell them I will pay, but I am without a job -- they keep calling. I tell them I have no money -- they keep calling. I ask them to please stop calling; my situation has not changed from the Sunday morning call they made to the Monday morning calls they are now bombarding me with -- they keep calling! I told them I would begin to repay my debt as soon as I get a job, and a little money saved -- they keep calling. I don't know when that will happen, I can't give them an estimated amount of payment, my stomach is churning, my body is shaking, tears are falling -- and they keep calling! Can't SOMEONE please make them stop calling me?
