Three local massage therapists traveled to Omaha, Neb., April 18-20 to attend a Repetitive Use Injury Therapy seminar.

The class consisted of 21 hours of demonstration and hands-on training from Michael Young, a trained professional who developed the techniques more than 10 years ago.

Therapist Judy Friederich of Head to Toe, Stacy Racy of Healing Hands Therapeutic Massage (Fort Scott Chiropractic LLC), and Mauriel Whisenhunt of Body Works and Wellness trained for three days with Young on techniques to relieve pain associated with carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar faciitis, frozen shoulder, hip and knee pain, fibromyalgia, and many other symptoms related to repetitive use.
