Fort Scott student orchestra opens Monday, April 28

The Fort Scott Middle School and Fort Scott High School orchestra students will present their spring concert at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 28 in the FSMS Commons. Also performing at the concert will be fifth grade students from

Winfield Scott, Eugene Ware and St. Mary's elementary schools.

According to USD 234 orchestra teacher Jane Williams, the students will perform a variety of music for event attendees. Williams said that throughout the evening, she will be presenting awards to the students. At the close of the program, there will be a special tribute to the graduating senior orchestra musicians.

Parents, friends, and interested community patrons are invited to attend the spring event, which is free to the public.
