Jayhawks claim titles at Uniontown Invitational

UNIONTOWN -- Jayhawk-Linn's boys and girls' track teams once again both claimed championships at the same meet. Monday, it was at Uniontown's 20th annual invitational.

Jayhawk-Linn's boys won only one event but claimed 23 medals as they scored 139 points to finish ahead of Uniontown in the nine-team meet. The Eagles scored 100 points, winning four events and 15 medals.

Jayhawk girls scored 126 points as they won five events and 20 medals. Waverly was second with 100 points and Uniontown claimed third with 78 points on two wins and 12 medals.

Uniontown's teams will travel to Neodesha Thursday while Jayhawk-Linn visit Linn County neighbor Prairie View.
