Albert Hutton, 85, of Fort Scott, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at the Mercy Health Center. He was born on April 23, 1922, in Cameron, Mo., the son of Perry Edgar and Beulah Adline Potter Hutton.

Mr. Hutton was a member of the U.S. Army, Airborne Division, during World War II. He served in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters. After the war he worked building highways, freeways and airport runways.

He is survived by three sons, Skip Hutton of Fort Scott, Kan., Mac Hutton of Fontana, California, Larry Hutton of Chandler, Ariz., a daughter, Pam Hutton of Fort Scott, Kan., two sisters, Ethel Whittaker of Oakville, Iowa and Sylvia Amos of Gravette, Ark. and a brother, William Hutton of Gravette, Ark., six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Following Cremation, funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Monday April 7, 2008, at the Fort Scott National Cemetery, under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
